VertCam is a macOS desktop application for recording and editing video. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect and how we use it.

Data We Collect

Email address — only if you sign up for early access or purchase a license. Used to deliver your license key and product updates.

Anonymous analytics — we use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used (e.g., which features are popular). This data is anonymous and cannot identify you.

Payment information — processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Data We Do NOT Collect

Your videos, recordings, or transcriptions never leave your device
No camera or microphone data is transmitted
No personal files are accessed or uploaded
No tracking cookies on our website

All Processing Is On-Device

Recording, transcription, captions, and editing happen entirely on your Mac. Nothing is sent to our servers or any cloud service.

Third-Party Services

Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
Resend — transactional email delivery (resend.com/privacy)
Firebase Analytics — anonymous usage analytics (firebase.google.com/privacy)

Data Retention

Your email is retained as long as you have an active license. You can request deletion at any time by emailing us.
